Born in 1978 in the occupied Golan Heights, Diala Mdah graduated from the Damascus Practical Arts Institute in photography. She is a member of ‘’Fath El Mudares’’ for art and culture and participated in several noted exhibitions in Damascus and abroad. Mdah’s works clearly showcase her impeccable artistic talent in telling stories through a variety of human expressions. Yet, while the emotions expressed in her figures may be raw and profound, the images are done with a technique that foreshadows the identity of the subject matter, as if to suggest that the face and the ID of the person do not matter, but what is essential is the humanity expressed in the postures.
