Rawan Qubrosi & Lana Haddadin
CMNT Design was established by Lana Haddadin and Rawan Qubrosi in March 2012. CMNT takes industrial concrete to the elegant indoors and gardens. It plays with contrasts, turning substantial, heavy products into minimalist concrete modern items.
CMNT endeavors to design and create items such as concrete planters, office accessories, home accessories and furniture items that are original, imaginative and sustainable with a sense of fun and practicality.
Lana Hadaddin, Architect, and Co-founder of CMNT Design, studied Architecture at the University of Jordan. Lana has been working as a designer at Faris & Faris Architects for the last four years, where she got involved in different major projects including Saint Paul Catholic Church in Amman, Jordan in addition to several private residences. Lana has always loved working with her hands, and with her love for sketching, special edition items will be designed and will include sketch art such as table coasters, clocks and furniture items.
Rawan Qubrosi, Architect, and Co-founder of CMNT Design, studied Architecture at the University of Jordan. After graduation and in search for more diverse education and exposure, Rawan got herself to Tokyo to work with Shigeru Ban Architects. She came back to Jordan after that to work on various projects. Rawan applied to MeydanJo Accelerator and got selected as one of the top 3 ideas incubated as an Entrepreneur for a Temporary Architectural Project. Rawan’s determination to succeed and architectural acumen enabled her to develop her prototype in 12 weeks. Considering the need for mentorship, she met with Dr. Mohammad Al Asad the founding director of CSBE who is currently helping her develop the architectural aspect of her designs during her architectural mentorship at CSBE.
