Born in Gaza in 1976, Shareef Sarhan works as an artist, a professional photographer, and a free-lance designer. He has been painting since he was 16 years old. He is a founding member of the ‘’Windows from Gaza for Contemporary Art’’ group and the founder of the Gaza International Festival of Video Arts. Sarhan has a diploma in arts from the University of ICS in the United States. Sarhan was involved in organizing several exhibitions after the incursion. ‘’Rescue’’, one of these exhibits, was organized in the wreckage of the Red Crescent Hospital with Shala and Magoussi. All the installations were built from what was found in the wreckage of the building. He participated in several art training courses and workshop, and introduced his works in many individual and group exhibitions in Gaza, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Amman, UK, the United States, Spain, Sweden, Sharjah, Cairo and others.
